Now beware of malware found in this popular app on the Play Store

On the Google Play Store, some such apps are continuously appearing in which some malware has been found. And because of this, the image of Google Play store is being affected.
In a previous report, we saw that 85 such apps were removed from Google which had been downloaded millions of times. Because they contained malware. Which can harm the users. Now a new revelation has revealed that malware has also been found in the CamScanner app on the Google Play Store.

The malicious module found with the app is 'Trojan Dropper'. Dropper installs malware in users' devices, which can range from stealing banking details to clicking fake ads and signing up for fake subscriptions.

This is revealed by the antivirus firm Kaspersky. Cam Scanner is an app with which you can scan a document and share it by converting it to PDF or other format.

Researchers have said that the phone-based PDF Creator CamScanner app also offers the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature and has over 100 million downloads, and the ad library with malicious modules was also being downloaded across devices with this app.

Researchers said that CamScanner was previously an all-purpose app and had no malicious intension. App developers at that time used Openly Ads to generate normal commercials and used in-app purchases to generate additional revenue.
